HE IS REGARDED as one of the great singers of our age and you can win A PAIR OF TICKETS to hear him play at The O2 on Sunday, August 14.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, is the nephew of the immortal and world renowned Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and he will be performing his own ‘Greatest Hits Live’ at The 02 in London, in what promises to be a memorable occasion for anyone lucky enough to have tickets. See below to see if YOU can win yours!

Rahat is well-known in Bollywood as a playback singer – his track “Ghoomeya” from the Salman Khan blockbuster, “Sultan“, has been number one across many countries in Asia.

His track “Rahoot Zaroori” has crossed 100 million views on Youtube and is thought to be a record for an independent single.

He said: “I’m very excited to be performing at The O2, London, for the second time, following my sold out tour in 2013.

“Coming to the UK is always a thrill for me and my performance is timed to fit the Independence Day celebrations for both Pakistan and India.

“I have a fantastic team of musicians joining me and will be performing my greatest film hits and new material, as well as my esteemed Uncle, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s popular Qawwali numbers, to rock the arena,” announced Rahat.

On the day, the concert will be the set piece of a day of fun and different activities.

There will be a range of free attractions to choose from – and well-known Bollywood choreographer and dance supremo Jay Kumar will be on hand to lead a mass dance workshop.

You won’t feel hungry or thirsty as a number of Asian street food vendors and stalls will be offering drinks and food from Kothi Roti to Bun Kabab and the flavours of India, from Kolkata to Hyderabad.

BBC Asian Network DJs Punjabi Hit Squad will be entertaining the crowds and building the atmosphere in the piazza between 4-6pm.

Noreen Khan one the station’s flagship presenters will do the honours on stage, while the concert’s official media partner, Star TV, will be on site and relaying the fun and atmosphere in the build-up.

Rahat has over 50 albums to his name and more than 100 hits from Bollywood tracks. His vocals have also appeared on the Hollywood film “Apocalypto” and his last album in 2014, “Back 2 Love” sold millions around the world.
