UK Asian Film Festival 2021: Actor Adil Hussain talks about humanity, lockdown, and the relevance of the opening gala film, ‘Raaghir’ (‘The Wayfarers’) in these covid times…

Star is in isolation in Delhi and spoke about this film which opens tonight at the BFI Southbank in London and raises the curtain on the 23rd UK Asian Film Festival (formerly known as Tongues on Fire)…

ADIL HUSSAIN talks to acv’s Natalie Barrass about what is this evening’s (May 26) Opening Gala UK Asian Film Festival film, ‘Raaghir’ (‘The Wayfarers’).
Directed by the multiple national-award winning Gautam Ghose, the film brings together three stars of the independent film sector in India – Hussain, Tillotama Shome and Neeraj Kabi and chronicles the fate of two very poor people as they look for work and relief travelling across India.
Now in its 23rd edition, the UK Asian Film Festival has selected films based on the theme of A Ray of Hope – celebrating the values and spirit as articulated in the films of the legendary director Satyajit Ray in what is his 100th birthday anniversary.
