In this video, on the red carpet for the world premiere of the film, ‘The Sky is Pink‘ – we explore the film’s origins, content and principal theme.

We talk to director Shonali Bose, Indian super producer Ronnie  Screwvala, co-writer, Nilesh Maniyar and Rohit Suresh Suraf who plays the brother of Aisha Chaudhary.

Aisha Chaudhary really existed and suffered a lot of health problems and was told as a teenager she would not live very long. As it was she passed away aged 18 in 2015, but in a short space of time had built up a huge following as a motivational speaker. The film is narrated by her (Zaira Wasim) and she actually tells the story of her parents, Aditi Chaudhary (played by Priyanka Chopra) and Nilesh Chaudhary (played by Farhan Akhtar) and her brother Ishaan (Saraf). It’s a beautiful story told with grace, humour and emotion.

Next up will be our interview with Farhan Akhtar in Toronto, talking about his role in the film and why he wanted to be part of it.

Also the review of the film…
