Ramesh Sippy – director of legendary Indian film ‘Sholay’ talks about his career and what he wants to do…

HIS FILM remains one of the most talked about of all time and any serious student of Bollywood will know some of this film’s dialogue by heart – and that is to say nothing about RD Burman’s classic Bollywood score.

Ramesh Sippy, the director behind the immortal, ‘Sholay’ is in London and told www.asianculturevulture, he really now wants to make a web series.

He also told acv about how he sees ‘Sholay’ today, and assesses the career of the equally iconic Amitabh Bachchan, who made such a smash as the central lead in Sippy’s film released in 1975.

Among the current crop of Bollywood male leads, he rates both Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
