Liff 2022 – ‘Little English’ – world premiere Red Carpet and Q&A at BFI Southbank (video)

It was a night to be proud…if we say so ourselves…

ENJOYING its world premiere at the BFI Southbank and launched at the London Indian Film Festival (Liff), ‘Little English’ is a new romantic comedy with two Asian leads at the heart of the drama.
Simmy (Rameet Rauli) is a bride from India and lands up in West London, expecting to marry the oldest son but he is nowhere to be seen…
She is quite literally held ‘prisoner’ in her this house – neighbours and other family members begin to gossip.
How will Simmy survive – or indeed prosper…
We talk to a multitude of people on the red carpet including special guests – film director, Gurinder Chadha, musician Sonna Rele and BBC presenters, Sunny & Shay, who also hosted the post screening Q&A.
This is that rare thing indeed – a British feature film with actors of South Asian origin dominating the screen.
Little English’ is written and directed by well-known and established Rifco theatre director, Pravesh Kumar in what is his debut feature.
