Kabir Bedi – star actor: ‘I wanted to write a book on her’ – now producing series on his English freedom fighter Freda… (video)

KABIR BEDI is one of India’s best known actors and has done a veritable roll call of international work, including James Bond (Octopussy) and Italian series, ‘Sandokan’ – receiving that country’s highest civilian honour – ‘Cavaliere’. He has also featured in one of the globe’s best known and longest-running TV series ever, ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’.
He is well-known too as a compere and VoiceOver artist and has appeared on the Dias at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and Film Bazaar many times.
He is now looking to make a TV/webseries on his late mother Freda – an Englishwoman who married an Indian, knew Mahatma Gandhi and fought for India’s freedom and then become the first fully ordained Tibetan Buddhist female monk of European origin.
