One of the world’s most sought after musician-composers makes a rare live performance in the UK and we have tickets and a couple of extra goodies for you to be there!

HE IS REGARDED as one of the greatest of living musicians and he is coming to the UK for only one performance – his first after five years.

AR Rahman is a double Grammy, double Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe winner and his music is known all over the world.

AR Rahman’s “Greatest Hits Show” at the O2 on Saturday, August 15, will be spectacular and he will be joined by some special guests. Among them are Haricharan, Neeti Mohan, Javed Ali, Jonita Gandhi, and many more.

He has sold more than 100 million records and some 200 million albums.

First introduced to Bollywood by the great Tamil director Mani Ratnam, Rahman first did the musical score for the film, “Roja”. The title from this album of the film was cited by Time Magazine in 2009 as one of 10 best soundtracks of all time.

In Britain, he was the man who changed the face of Bollywood in the country, establishing the huge success of “Bombay Dreams” alongside musical genius, Andrew Lloyd Webber. The theatrical production enjoyed a long run and helped to set up more than one career.

In Hollywood, he is best known for his work on “Slumdog Millionaire”, “The Hundred Foot Journey” for the Oprah Winfrey produced film, Disney’s “Million Dollar Arm” and Danny Boyle’s thriller, “127 Hours”.

Rahman is currently working on the music for a biopic about the world’s greatest footballer, Pele. He is also doing the score for Disney’s Indian ancient story blockbuster, “Mohenjo Daro”.
