Bollywood songstress Shreya Ghosal made her solo Royal Albert Hall debut on Monday (May 6) and loved it so much she didn’t feel homesick despite being on tour for two weeks.
Thousands of her fans were there to see her make a ‘dream come true’.
She later said she was on a high and called it the experience of a lifetime and praised the audience for their love and devotion.
On Twitter, she added: “This is the first time I haven’t felt homesick even after touring for the last two weeks…I could continue. Not one bit exhausted.”
The Bollywood playback singer has been on a short tour of the UK and sang some number in tribute to a 100 years of Indian cinema.
Ghosal was uncovered in television talent contest in India by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali first recorded songs for his film, Devdasin 2002. Since then Ghosal has gone onto become one of India’s most popular singers and is an ambassador and judge for Indian Idol Jnr, which begins in July.
