London Film Festival 2019: ‘Greed’ red carpet glamour – Dinita Gohil, Steve Coogan, David Mitchell, James Blunt, Pixie Lott (coming) – update

London 10.30am

One of the big British films of the festival enjoyed its European premiere last night…

THERE was a glitzy star-studded red carpet premiere last night (October 9) for the British film, ‘Greed’ at the 63rd London Film Festival.

The Michael Winterbottom directed film is about a British tycoon who is both fabulously rich and tasteless and decides to celebrate his 60th birthday with almost Bacchanal zeal on the Greek island of Mykonos.

He builds a mock amphitheatre and invites hundreds of people, many celebs (and lookalikes) – and even some Syrian refugees to his birthday party.

A biting comic satire on the lives of the wealthy and showy, the lead character is played by Steve Coogan who plays ‘Richard McCreadie’ and the supporting cast includes David Mitchell (‘Gun Shy‘ and ‘Peep Show’ Channel4), Isla Fisher (‘Arrested Development‘ TV), Asim Chaudhry (Chabuddy) and Dinita Gohil (‘The Boy with the Top Knot‘) and a lion called Claris.

Chaudhry plays the lion tamer while Gohil has a significant back story in the tale which is clearly inspired by a retail tycoon figure in the mould of Sir Philip Green.

Gohil attended the premiere last night and has a big part in the film – read our review and see more pictures soon…
