Cannes 2021 – ‘Annette’ review: Idiosyncratic, poetic comedic satire on celebrity relationships as Adam Driver sparkles…(video)

BRINGING you the first of our reviews from this year’s Cannes Film Festival – ‘Annette’.
The opening film is an intense, and unusual musical which is produced by Amazon Studios, and is set to get a worldwide release this summer/autumn in different countries.
Starring Adam Driver (‘Star Wars’) and Oscar-winning Marion Cotillard (‘La Vie en Rose’), this is a wonderfully creative and boundary-defying effort by French auteur filmmaker, Leos Carax (‘Holy Motors’).
ACV’s Brigitte Leloire Kerackian talks to Sailesh Ram about the Opening film of the 74th Cannes Film Festival and the experience of watching this film at the Debussy Theatre in Cannes.
