WRITER-DIRECTOR Rima Das’ award-winning feature ‘Village Rockstars 2’ comes to the BFI Southbank in London as part of the London Indian Film Festival (LIFF – July 16-23) tomorrow – July 18.
In this interview, she talks about how the story came about, its inspirations and reactions to the film – it won the Kim Jiseok Award at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) last year and had its Indian premiere screening at Mami in Mumbai.
ACV saw the film at its European premiere at the Berlinale 75.
Das is a hugely impressive filmmaker for someone, who we believe, is self-taught and does almost everything except act!
