4. ‘Befikre’

December and this Bollywood blockbuster bandwagon rolled into town…Ranveer Singh, burgeoning superstar and Vaani Kapoor, relative newcomer. They set London ablaze, in a manner of speaking. This was no ordinary press conference – the journalist fangirls got all lovey and dovey…this is the full and proper video, with a very insightful examination of the film and its mores by Yash Raj executive Avtar Panesar. 5. ‘Mirzya’

In October, it’s always the London Film Festival and Bollywood hit it with a real aplomb as “Mirzya” got a Love Gala Premiere Screening at the new temporary theatre in Victoria Gardens on London’s Embankment. Sonam Kapoor, someone who’s appeared in our Cannes Film Festival coverage, was offering support to her brother, Harshvardhan. He was making his starring debut starring in the film alongside newcomer, Saiyami Kher and the is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

There were some hard choices – we also interviewed Bollywood megastar, Hrithik Roshan and Indian indie directorial sensation, Anurag Kashyap, Double Oscar winning short documentary maker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and earlier in the year at the time of the release of “Dheepan” the great Jacques Audiard, the man behind the sensational, “The Prophet” and “Dheepan“,which won the top prize in Cannes in 2015.
