‘The Effects of Lying’ film interviews coming soon! And what’s next also on our Youtube channel

Stay tuned as the stars talk to www.asianculturevulture.com about this hilarious new comedy drama film with an Asian family at the centre of it…

LOOK out next for our video interviews for the premiere of the ITVx film, ‘The Effects of Lying’ – it enjoyed its first public world premiere at the London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) on Wednesday (June 28).
Stars of the film: Ace Bhatti, Navin Chowdhry, and Bhasker Patel talked about the film which is about a Dad (Bhatti) losing it, as he finds out some secrets about his wife (Sangeeta – Laila Rouass) and how that impacts his daughter (Simran – Lauren Patel) and his family – brother Harvinder (Chowdhry) and father (Bhasker Patel). Others from the film including Shaheen Khan, Jon Tarcy Adam Bregman and writer James Hey and director Isher Sahota all joined us.
Suffice to say the film is extremely funny – and also has a dark edge – look out for our review too soon!
The film drops on ITVx in the UK on Thursday (July 6) and we hope to have our interviews out around the same time – do subscribe to our Youtube channel and you won’t miss them if you click on the 🔔 as well.

LIFF 2023 To Kill a Tiger Q&A
LIFF team with father (centre)

LIFF finished on Thursday (June 29) with the hard-hitting but hugely moving documentary called ‘To Kill A Tiger’.
Made by Nisha Pahuja this film covers the journey of a 13-year-old Indian girl, as she and her parents fight for justice following her gang rape by three men in her village during wedding celebrations.
Pahuja appeared after the film in Q&A with LIFF International brand ambassadors Sunny and Sunny.
Incredibly for the audience too – the BBC broadcasting couple were joined by the father and the girl at the centre of the drama.
Respecting the wishes of the family, we are not publishing the names or any photographs from the Q&A, but father Ranjit did pose for pictures with the LIFF team afterwards.
Both these films also closed the sister Birmingham Indian Film Festival yesterday (Sunday July 2).
A longer LIFF with more screenings is now set to take place across several cities in the UK across September.
