Cannes 2026 – ‘Amma Ariyan’ (‘Report to Mother’) – classic Indian 1986 film wows festival goers..

A PACKED out theatre here responded with huge warmth and affection for the screening of the late director John Abraham’s Malayalam language work, ‘Amma Ariyan‘ (Report to Mother) which screened just earlier this afternoon.

Lead actor Joy Mathew and editor Bina Paul (pictured above) looked touched by the tremendous response to the 1986 film which has a huge cult status in India and is much admired by many independent filmmakers.
