Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has a significant part in film which drops on Netflix tomorrow (August 10 12am BST) and last night we attended a VIP/Press screening with the three lead actors, led by Gal Gadot and flanked by Alia Bhatt and Jamie Dornan introducing the film via a video shot earlier this year. The short shows director Tom Harper introducing the film last night and explaining that the actors could not be at the screening as the trio are supporting the current actors’ strike.

And so what of the film?

We can’t review it in the traditional way (as under embargo) but Bhatt certainly gives it her all and it’s an interesting part – playing an orphan who grows up to be a crack IT developer and sharp operator. Very much centred around Gadot, as a female type Bond character, this has franchise potential written all over it…will Bhatt make it through Part I?
