IN LONDON, for London Film Festival, team Superboys were in the capital city to talk about their film which screened to much acclaim here.
Suman Bhuchar, associate editor, poses the questions to Reema Kagti, director; actor Adarsh Gourav who plays the film’s lead – Nasir Shaik and based on a real person and real events; producer (for this film) Zoya Akhtar, whose father is one of the icons of Indian cinema and cultural life generally – Javid Akhtar and widely known for his classic Hindi language film scripts, lyrics and poetry; and also finally another producer, Ritesh Sidhwani.
The five talk about the film’s themes, how it came into being and watch to the end to hear Gourav’s beautiful distillation of the movie’s essence and heart.
