TOMORROW (UK time) sees the opening of the 50th International Film Festival of India and www.asianculturevulture.com is in Goa to cover it.
There are nearly 300 films screening and two standout stars will be recognised officially this year – the Big B himself, Amitabh Bachchan, who is himself about to celebrate 50 years in cinema and South Indian screen legend Rajinikanth.
Check in with us as the festival officially opens – earlier today, media covering IFFI heard from the chief minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant, and director of the film festival itself, Chaitanya Prasad, welcome all to the festival – among the new features is a completely paper free ticketing system – everything is logged onto your badge.
